We all are aware of the benefits of cocoa butter and rose water for the skin. While the former is great to achieve smooth and deeply nourished skin, the latter is best to soothe and calm the skin, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and cooling properties. This homemade body lotion recipe is perfect for humid and sticky weather as it’s quick-absorbing as well as cooling.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons beeswax
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons vitamin E oil
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa butter
  • ¾ cup rose water

Process:

Melt all your thick ingredients like beeswax, cocoa butter along with almond oil in a double boiler technique. A double boiler technique refers to placing a glass bowl on top of the other one which is exposed to direct flame and adding the product you wish to melt in the bowl above.

Once you see the ingredients behind to melt and mix, add vitamin E oil and take it off the flame in the next minute. Next, add rose water into a blender and as soon as you observe the water blending, slowly pour in the oil mixture. Once it emulsifies and blends, your creamy white homemade body lotion is ready.

Ingredients:

Process:

Start by combining aloe veravitamin E oil and essential oil in a small bowl for them to come at room temperature and mix well. Next, combine the beeswax and grapeseed oil in a bowl and place them in a pan full of boiling water. Keep stirring to avoid lumps while boiling and take it off the pan once the wax has melted completely. Once it cools down, combine the wax and aloe vera mixtures into a blender and blend until your smooth homemade body lotion is formed.

  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of avocado oil.
  • 3 tablespoons arrowroot powder
