Every bundle is made on Vancouver Island with our unrefined Kperisi shea and calming botanicals, and every purchase supports education for the children of the Tapko Widow's Group in Ghana, who make our shea butter.

Is shea butter safe for newborns?
Shea is a traditional first skincare for babies in West Africa and contains very little protein, so reactions are rare even though it is botanically a tree nut. Patch-test on a small area first, and ask your paediatrician if your baby has a diagnosed skin condition.

How often do I use the Bum Bum Butter?
At every change, on clean, dry skin, as a moisturizing protective layer. It is a cosmetic, not a medicine; for a persistent or worsening rash, see your doctor.

Is the wash tear-free?
It is a mild plant-based cleanser; keep it out of the eyes and rinse with water if contact occurs.

Are the products scented?
The wash and lotion carry lavender and neroli. For a fragrance-free option, use our unscented Whipped Shea Just Shea.
